Effective 1/20, SF Symphony will require N95, KN95 or equivalent masks

Published: 1/19/2022

Based on health and safety recommendations from the City and County of San Francisco and due to the transmissibility of the Omicron variant, effective tomorrow, Thursday, January 20, the San Francisco Symphony will begin requiring that all patrons wear a non-vented high-filtration respirator, such as a N95, KN95, KF94, or equivalent face mask while inside Davies Symphony Hall. The Symphony will have a limited number of KN95 or equivalent masks available for patrons that require them.

The new protocol requiring non-vented respirators follows the recent announcement that, beginning February 1, 2022, the San Francisco Symphony will begin requiring proof of a COVID-19 booster—received at least one week prior to each event—for entrance into Davies Symphony Hall.
